Amr Helmy, often called “The Godfather of Egyptian Design,” is a visionary known for redefining design through cultural revival and innovation. Since the 1980s, he’s pioneered approaches like the “7 years ahead” method, founded the Egyptian Designers Forum, and launched the Talent Academy to nurture young creatives. His groundbreaking concepts include democratic design retail (Designy), novel-based and narrative fusion design, and Egypt’s first innovation consultancy for businesses. With works like "Cairo 2200" and "The Egyptian Geisha," Helmy continues to fuse heritage with future-forward thinking, leaving a lasting mark on design in Egypt and beyond.
